Our toddler program is designed to provide a nurturing learning environment for our children. Our staff are registered Early Childhood Educators and focus on developing positive social/emotional skills among our toddlers. Positive adult/child interactions are our highest priority in order for our children to feel safe in their learning environment.
Toddlers are just learning to become independent and our goal is to help them create a connection with the outside world by providing new opportunities everyday. Daily activities are planned according to children’s interests that guide them through positive learning experiences while developing cognitive, social, emotional, and communicative skills.
The toddler program also includes two hours of daily outdoor play (weather permitting), which promotes gross motor development during independent and group activities. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided at Little Treehouse Child Care Centre and each child’s dietary restrictions are our highest priority.
The toddler program includes a daily rest period of two hours in which our toddlers get some time to rest.
At Little Treehouse Child Care Centre, we strive to provide quality care to each child while creating a safe learning environment. We believe children learn best through play and exploration.
Our preschool classroom is designed to promote active learning through all activities. Children learn best through play when they are provided opportunities to explore and inquire in their environment.
Our qualified staff ensure to set up an environment that roots from children’s interests. We have a consistent daily schedule which gives children ownership of their day when they are aware of what comes next.
The preschool age group are now independent learners and are learning to become decision makers. Children are given plenty of opportunities throughout the day to make decisions, have plans and follow through with them. In the preschool classroom, children are now beginning to transition from independent play to learning how to cooperatively play with others and in groups.
The Little Treehouse Child Care Centre serves breakfast, lunch, and snacks on a daily basis. Our preschoolers are given two hours of rest time in which they can choose to nap or engage in quiet activities as they rest.
Our Kindergarten program is designed for young children between the ages of 4-6. The goal of our Kindergarten program is to provide young children with a nurturing and stimulating environment where they can discover new concepts, learn and grow in a safe and supporting environment. By providing a foundation of academic and social skills, our kindergarten program strives to help children develop the skills and confidence they need as they grow.
For our Kindergarten-age children, we will be using the Ontario Curriculum as a guide when planning programs. Children will be engaging in hands on learning experiences to strengthen their skills through play. We will also offer Quran and Arabic periods in their regular day during which children will be reciting short Surahs and learning Duaa’s as well. Children will build relationships with their peers through daily interactions strengthening their social emotional skills. Children will gain the confidence through adult and peer interactions to build new relationships and friendships as they grow. It is our responsibility to meet children where they are and designing programs that encourage curiosity.
